This is the tour to book when you cannot choose between the park and the old city, because it is the one Madrid operator that sells both on a single private ride. It runs privately by default — your group and a guide, no strangers — and you pick the length, from one hour up to three, with start times every hour from 10:00 to 20:00.

The centre half runs through Habsburg Madrid: Plaza Mayor, the quiet Plaza de Ramales, the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral facing it, and Plaza de la Villa, the medieval square that housed the city council for four centuries. The longer options then cross to Retiro, where the riding is easier and the stops are the Palacio de Cristal, the lake and the Rosaleda.

Two operational details are worth knowing before you book. Light rain does not cancel the tour; heavy rain reschedules it. And Madrid City Council occasionally closes Retiro at short notice for safety — high wind is the usual reason — in which case the operator rides an alternative route rather than cancelling.

The guide Andrei was awesome, perfect guide. It was a very nice activity. We drove segway on the main road and reached Retiro park and went arround the park for 1 hour.
