About This Experience

The only genuinely off-road Segway tour in Madrid, and the only one that leaves the paved city entirely. It starts on Calle de las Huertas in the Barrio de las Letras, passes Plaza de Santa Cruz and the Almudena Cathedral, drops down the Cuesta de la Vega and crosses the Manzanares by the Puente del Rey into Casa de Campo.

Casa de Campo is the point. At 1,722 hectares it is the largest urban park in Spain — roughly five times the size of Central Park — and it was a royal hunting estate from the 16th century until 1931, which is why so much of it is still scrub and holm oak rather than lawn. The tracks are unsurfaced, and the tour uses all-terrain Segway X2s for that reason.

It runs privately, so the group is yours. Note the confirmation timing: bookings made more than seven days out are confirmed immediately, while bookings inside seven days are confirmed within 48 hours.

• The ideal weight for this tour is between 35 kilograms (77 pounds) and 125 kilograms (275 pounds)
• This tour is not recommended for women who are pregnant
• Please wear comfortable walking shoes
• If booked more than 7 days before the tour, your confirmation will be received at time of booking
• If booked within 7 days before the tour, your confirmation will be received within 48 hours
• The tour will not be suspended for fine rain. In cases of heavy rain it will be rescheduled
• A 10-minute grace period is allowed at the tour's start time. After 30 minutes, the tour will be cancelled
