City Center & Casa de Campo Segway Tour

5.0 (18 verified reviews)

About This Experience

A two-hour route that does what most Madrid Segway tours do not: it leaves the old centre. From Plaza de Oriente it rides Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, then crosses to Casa de Campo before returning.

Casa de Campo is Madrid's largest public park at 1,722 hectares and has been listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural — a protected historic site — since 1931, when it passed from the crown to the city. Riding from the Royal Palace into what used to be the royal hunting ground makes the geography of old Madrid legible in a way the centre alone does not.

It is a lot of ground for two hours, and the inclusions are lean: the Segway tour and a bottle of water. Book it for the route rather than for the extras.

What Travelers Say

Rated 5.0/5 by 18 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

Our two hour tour was amazing and the Segway was a fun and adventurous way to see all the landmarks in a condensed amount of time instead of the usual walking or bus tour. The time went so fast. The instructions on how to operate the was easy and that was good because we hopped right onto busy roads with lots of traffic! Our lead guide was informative and always made sure we knew directions and that we were safe. The second guide was behind us doing the same. The only negative was that when we arrived, we were told to wait, but then nobody came out to officially greet us and get us started until we initiated it a bit later. That was a little confusing but after that, it was all good!

Very enthousiastic guide with an eye for safety and a good energy telling nice stories about the things we saw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tour cover the historic centre as well as the park?

Yes — Plaza de Oriente, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, then Casa de Campo across the river, then back. It is the cheapest way to see both in one ride.

Is Casa de Campo the largest park in Madrid?

Yes, at 1,722 hectares — the largest urban park in Spain and roughly five times the area of Central Park. It has been a protected historic site since 1931.

What is included?

The guided Segway tour and a bottle of water. This is a leaner inclusion list than most Madrid Segway tours, which is reflected in the price.

What is the minimum age?

Ten years old.
