About This Experience

At three hours this is the longest scheduled group Segway tour in Madrid, and the only shared route that rides the full width of the centre in a single trip. The route opens in the Barrio de las Letras, passes the CaixaForum, enters Retiro Park, comes back down the Paseo del Prado, then crosses Habsburg Madrid to Plaza Mayor, the Almudena, the Royal Palace and the Templo de Debod.

The first half of that route is not an arbitrary line. The Paseo del Prado and the Buen Retiro gardens were inscribed together on the UNESCO World Heritage list in July 2021 as the Landscape of Light — the first World Heritage site within the city of Madrid — and this tour rides most of its length.

Three hours is a real commitment on a Segway and this is not the tour to learn on. Ride a one-hour Retiro loop first if you have never used one; come here if you have, or if you want the whole city in one booking rather than two.

We just went on a segway tour with José and Paula on Friday. They are both very knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable. This is by far the best way to see Madrid if you don’t have much time and would like to make the most of it. They took amazing photos of us boys and were super friendly and courteous. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we highly recommend it!

We just went on a segway tour with José yesterday and couldn’t be happier!!! He’s a very knowledgeable guide and made the tour super enjoyable. This is by far the best way to see Madrid if you don’t have much time and would like to make the most of it. The tour covers all the not-to-be-missed tourist spots, is way faster than walking, and takes you through lots of those tiny picturesque streets where a tourist bus would never fit. At the end of the tour, José provided us with lots of recommendations for restaurants and other unique spots off the beaten track. We’re definitely planning on checking some of them out when we’re passing through Madrid next month. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we highly recommend it!
